One of the more difficult things for beginning fly fishers to learn is how to select the proper fly. The Match the Hatch simulation will quiz you on fly selection. You will be shown an insect or situation and asked to select the fly from the fly box that you believe will provide the best results. To select a fly from the fly box, simply click on your selection. Keep in mind that the general fly patterns here are only suggestive, more specific size considerations and pattern choices are often necessary.
